Bianca is a psychologist with experience in both the public and private sectors, working with a variety of mental health concerns including post-traumatic stress disorder, dissociative disorders and substance misuse. Bianca has a particular interest in working with complex trauma, Dissociative Identity Disorder and working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Bianca completed her PhD in Indigenous psychology, looking at barriers to service use and access with Indigenous communities in Mexico and the incorporation of Indigenous wisdom and traditional healing practices into the Western medical model to improve treatment outcomes. Bianca uses a variety of evidence-based interventions including Dialectical Behavioural-informed Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy and therapies for Structural Dissociation and is an Accredited EMDR practitioner. Bianca enjoys working together with clients to reduce their vulnerabilities to painful emotions, increase their skills to be able to regulate their nervous system, process and heal from their trauma and improve skills for communicating effectively with others. Bianca also has an interest in plant medicines and non-ordinary states of consciousness, and provides integration support to people who have experienced non-ordinary states through psychedelics, plant medicine and breathwork, as well as people who have had "bad trip" experiences including HPPD.
