About the Wellness Hub
The Wellness Hub Psychology Clinic is an affordable counselling service provided by the Mental Health Foundation Australia (MHFA).
Each year, we deliver over 2,000 psychological counselling sessions, supporting individuals with their overall wellbeing at just $30 per 50-minute session or free for those experiencing financial distress to ensure support reaches those who need it most, when they need it most. We provide both in-clinic and telehealth counselling with provisional psychologists and counsellors, supporting people aged 5 and up, including children, adolescents, adults across a wide range of emotional and mental health challenges.
All of our services are affirming of diversity, including neurodiversity, gender diversity, and sexuality diversity. We believe that mental health care should be accessible for everyone.
Areas of Support
As a student-led psychology clinic, the Wellness Hub provides counselling support for mild to moderate mental health and wellbeing concerns. Our services are delivered by provisional psychologists and counsellors who are closely supervised by an AHPRA Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA)–approved supervisor and their university placement coordinators. This ensures all care is delivered safely, ethically, and in line with professional standards.
Please note: The Wellness Hub Psychology Clinic is not a crisis service. If you require urgent or specialised care, we can assist in facilitating a referral to an appropriate healthcare provider.

Everyone has a story that others can’t see. Some are just good at hiding it and especially when it comes to loneliness. Many can be surrounded by people all day and still feel disconnected. If you are holding silent struggles, remember that you are not alone. We understand the weight you carry, the invisible burdens that are aching. Here are the 3 mindful practices that can help nurture a sense of belonging: ➡️ Reconnect with people – recall a moment you felt truly seen, let your body and mind fill in with the thoughts of belonging, happiness and fulfillment. This helps to reinforce gratefulness when your focus shifts to the beautiful memories of belonging. ➡️ Root in nature – take a slow deep breath outdoors and notice how the oxygen you inhale comes from plants beside you and the carbon dioxide you breathe out supports their life in return. Acknowledging interdependent relationships with nature helps to connect us to places with a sense of belonging. ➡️ Reflect in stillness – spend quiet moments with whatever feels meaningful, sacred or bigger than yourself. Connecting with the Divine helps to ground and support the deepest part of you. Belonging can begin with small moments of connection, to others, to nature, and to yourself. At the MHFA Wellness Hub, we provide accessible counselling services at $30/session. Feeling stuck in a thought spiral can be draining and consuming. Here are some ways to shift your mind to a positive perspective. 1. Journal, recognising your worries and writing them down, can allow you to reflect on your thoughts rather than actively participating with them. 2. Meditate, focusing on your breathing and observing your surroundings, can help you ground yourself and calm your thoughts. 3. Practise positive self-talk, transforming your thoughts from “I can’t handle this situation” to “this challenge is temporary, and I have enough resources to manage” This exercise can give you encouragement and improve self-resilience. 4. Be kind to yourself, recognise that this experience is natural and is something that everyone goes through, give yourself time and space to allow your thoughts to pass through. 5. Seek support, talking to a friend or family member can make you feel less alone, and they may offer you a different perspective to shift your thought cycle. If you need further assistance to navigate your thoughts, you can book an appointment with one of our counsellors using the link in our bio. #MentalHealth #ThoughtSpiral #Psychology #MentalHealthAwareness #HealingJourneyButton

In the hustle and bustle of our daily routines it can be easy to lose yourself in planning for the future. It is important to remind ourselves to focus on the present as it reduces stress and improves our overall wellbeing. If you want support in practicing mindfulness, you can book an appointment now.
