Provisional Psychologists and Counsellors


The MHFA Wellness Hub psychology clinic is primarily a student-led clinic, offering short-term counselling services through provisional psychologists and counsellors on clinical placements. While on placement, each student clinician is supervised by an AHPRA PsyBA-approved supervisor and their university placement coordinators. To book, please submit an enquiry and our Admin will respond within 7 business days.

Ebonnie (she/her) is currently completing her Master of Counselling at the University of Canberra. With a feminist, person-centred approach to counselling she is dedicated to creating a relaxed, collaborative space for her clients to explore their inner lives and circumstances within the context of our current social and cultural systems. She has a passion for helping couples and families explore communication and connection, including rainbow families, neurodiverse families and polycules. Ebonnie is committed to providing an experience for her clients where they feel free, understood, respected and empowered to discover and accomplish their goals.

Rachel Pearce

Rachel (she/her) is currently completing her Master of Counselling at the University of Canberra. She is a compassionate, client-centred counsellor-in-training with a strong background in disability support and mental health intake. She has a warm and empathetic approach. She creates a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their experiences and challenges. Her counselling interests are grounded in evidence-based therapies, particularly Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Rachel also holds a Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs Counselling and has a strong interest in Art Therapy. Rachel understands the importance of advocacy, clear communication, and culturally responsive care. She believes clients are the experts in their own lives and takes a collaborative and empowering approach to counselling. She aims to help clients build self-awareness and meaningful growth.

Currently completing a Master of Counselling at the University of Canberra, Vjosa takes a person-centred and strengths-based approach to supporting clients. Her practice is grounded in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and informed by evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, and mindfulness techniques, helping individuals build practical skills to navigate challenges. With experience in community and employment settings, she works collaboratively with clients facing stress, mental health challenges, and life transitions, creating a safe, supportive space that fosters empowerment, resilience, and meaningful change.

Ayesha Mehta

Ayesha is currently completing a Master of Counselling at the University of Canberra with over 20 years of experience in arts and education. She brings a relational, person-centred approach to the Wellness Hub, integrating CBT and DBT, and somatic-informed tools to help clients navigate complex emotions.  Ayesha is passionate about supporting individuals through life transitions, identity, and cultural belonging. She offers a collaborative, non-judgmental space where clients can use storytelling and creative expression as pathways toward resilience, clarity, and self-connection.

Vee is a Master of Counselling student at Monash University and a Provisional Counsellor undertaking placement at the MHFA Integrated Wellness Hub Psychology Clinic. She offers a warm, person-centred, and trauma-informed approach, aiming to create a safe and supportive space where individuals feel heard and understood. With previous experience in mental health and community service settings, she supports individuals navigating anxiety, low mood, emotional regulation challenges, neurodiversity, and life transitions. She draws on CBT, ACT, and mindfulness-based strategies to help clients build insight, confidence, and practical skills for overall well-being.

Khushi is a Master of Counselling student at Monash University who offers a supportive and collaborative counselling approach. Her work is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness. With experience across community services, mental health, the justice system, and family violence contexts, Khushi works primarily with adults while supporting clients across the lifespan. She has a particular interest in helping individuals manage anxiety, stress, work-related pressures, and life transitions in a safe and respectful therapeutic space.
